The author of 115 books, I started teaching elementary school in 1977. I taught kindergarten ESL, first, fifth and sixth grades. After my children’s books were published I went back to the classroom as a visiting author. I co-taught children’s literature in the library school at the University of North Texas. Today I teach writing at Southern Methodist University, for Staff Development for Educators and online. I have written with students of all ages in workshops all over the globe.

I teach online workshops from January to December.
All of the workshops are self-paced.

The Workshops

Workshop Info

An online workshop does not have a physical meeting place or classroom hours. That makes my workshops “international.” I have had students from every continent except Antarctica!

Are you ready to work on your craft? All you need is access to email, a library card, and a desire to write. Sign up for a workshop today…
